Panties came off the screen and seduced me

computer imageUnfaithful husband can’t help his infidelity. “God just made me this way,” he says. Check bounced, blame the bank’s system. A woman shoots her husband and is found innocent, she has “depression-suicide syndrome.”. The list of ‘disorders’ are growing! There are people adversely affected by factors beyond their control. But we keep issuing I’m-Not-Responsible-For-My-Actions certificates. If not you, then who is? Your parents? Your chromosomes? Society? God? Chocolate?

James warns us against using excuses for wicked conduct, saying, “No one, when tempted, should say, ‘I am being tempted of God’; for God cannot be tempted by evil and he himself tempts no one. But one is tempted by one’s own desire, being lured and enticed by it.” James 1:13-14.

It is a great time to own up. Blaming your misdeeds only gets in the way of healing. If you can choose, you are responsible for that choice. Your certificate is hereby revoked.
